EMILY anne HARLOW
Character's Name: Emily Anne Harlow
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Grade: 9th (Freshman)
Job (If Applicable): N/A
Wealth: Rich
Impulse: Creativeness (Writing Poems and Songs... and sometimes reading them aloud)
Association: Harlow
Appearance: All in all, someone might consider Emily Harlow to be young, but that doesn't mean she can't be pretty. She has a dark brown color of hair, almost like a blackish-brown. Her eyes are hazel-green, though she can often be caught wearing sunglasses to cover up what some might call her pretty eyes. As for skin, Emily has somewhat pale skin (unless she's been out in the sun for a really long time with an extensive amount of sun screen) that surprises some peoplpe. I mean, don't rich people have the money to put themselves in tanning beds? Emily doesn't believe in that. She has a lanky build with some good muscles underneath that pale skin of hers.
As for style, some might mistake her for a middle-class girl with the way she dresses. Emily doesn't like showing off her money, so her classic outfits consist of jeans and t-shirts. Some might scoff at her for what she wears, but Emily doesn't really care. Occasionally, you might see her wearing a nice blouse or an expensive sweater, but these occasions are quite few and far in between. The only sign in her physical appearance that might show that she's rich is that she wears very nice earrings often and always carries her trusty iPod and cell phone.
Personality: Emily is just one of those girls, you know? What kind of girl, you might ask... well, Emily is one of those sheltered and loving girls who thinks she can handle tough situations. In an argument, Emily might say she can handle it, or she can take on whatever's coming. But the real question people might ask themselves is: can she really? Well, the answer to that is a very small word called 'NO'. In a physical fight (which G-o-d forbid that ever happens), Emily probably would be easily overpowered. In a situation that requires mental AND physical strength... well, whoever you are, you've hit your mark. Emily isn't great under pressure, and she shows it, but that doesn't mean that she isn't loyal or trusting.
Which is the other part of Emily that everyone sees and that some might even love. Emily is very loyal, and cares about what goes on in the world around her. Being a Harlow, she is aware of the danger to her family and the danger to whatever friends she may or may not have. If you asked anyone close to Emily about the first thing they notice about her, their answer would be her love for her family. Emily, unlike many teenage girls, loves her family with all her heart and would do anything to protect them (almost everything).
And her love causes Emily to be passionate. Passion, to some, can be a great strength. To others, a major weakness. For the most part, Emily will speak her mind when she feels like it, and will act rashly if provoked. However, said acting rashly can get her into trouble - trouble that, said before, she probably can't handle. All in all, she's a handful to deal with, but a loving person that is sweet and mostly honest.
History/Life: As most in Impulse City would know, Emily Harlow was the last child born to the Harlow family fifteen years ago on June 13th. She is what you might call "the accident child", but she is a Harlow child nonetheless. And for the most part, her life was lived as a sheltered kid being the only daughter of the famous Molly and Jack Harlow. The majority of her child life was spent in the confines of the Harlow household in Impulse City, learning about her own impulse and Impulse City in general - she was homeschooled by a tutor until ninth grade, actually (which is the grade she is in now).
Because she spent most of her life locked behind closed doors, Emily found that she loved her family more than anything in the world - considering as those were the only people she knew growing up. This is Emily's first time in a public school, with so many other kids. She wants to do well for her parents, and for her brothers too... though for them, not so much.
Roleplaying Example:Emily fiddled with her sunglasses as she walked down the sidewalk, keeping her eyes fixed on the people ahead. Her first day in a public school hadn't been too bad - except for the fact that just about every kid in every class recognized her as being a member of the Harlow family. Most of them knew who her brothers were, and stated that she looked so much like them... but only few had met her personally before. In a way, it was kind of a tiring day. All in all, public school just wasn't really a fun place to be. Everyone had expected her to be some hot rod rich kid that could pay for everyone's lunch, and Emily had almost cracked under the pressure today.
Of course, she'd never tell her parents that... she was afraid they'd yank her right back out again.
Emily had no car, and hadn't wanted to ride with either of her brothers from school. She didn't know where they were right now, but at this point she didn't particularly care. She just needed an escape, somewhere she could go away from all the Harlow and Rawson stuff going on and people wouldn't judge her. The only place like that was off of this friggin' island, and there was no way Emily was going to be able to get off of it. With a sigh, she sank down onto a bench in front of some store and ran her fingers through her knotted mahogany hair. Was there any escape?
[[OOC: Um... yeah. Shush everyone. Yeah, I know I picked Kristen Stewart. Don't make fun of me for picking someone so well-known. And I hope it was okay I put a picture at the top. ^_^]]
